Home to the MLB’s Colorado Rockies Coors Field is situated in Denver, Colorado in the LoDo district. Coors Field has dark green seats except the 20th row where the seats are purple marking the one mile above sea level line.
Another interesting fact about Coors Field is that the stadium was originally going to be named Jurassic Park after the dinosaur bones found while digging the footings. Coors Field has earned the reputation as a home run friendly park due to the lower air density because of the elevation. Coors Field designers planned to mitigate that fact by building a larger outfield than normal and the outfield is the largest of all the stadiums in the US. Even still, Coors Stadium has approximately 7% more home runs than all of the other stadiums in the US.
